The Latter-day Disciples Podcast
The Latter-day Disciples are pleased to present weekly podcasts, blogs, online classes, virtual conferences, and more to help you boldly embody the gospel, recognize the signs of the times, and prepare to receive Jesus Christ.
Meghan Farner is a lifelong disciple of Jesus Christ, her most favorite thing in the world being deep doctrinal conversations. She openly advocates the practice of fearlessly seeking truth out of all places the spirit may lead, while being immovably grounded in Jesus Christ. Her background in business, communications, psychology, and human relations, along with her personal studies of scripture, apocrypha, ancient history, and other faith traditions, make her a renaissance woman, and an engaging hostess and presenter. Meghan and her family live in East Idaho.

Ep. 134 | Balance & Contrast in God and Art, with Jordan Ring-Sakabe
Meghan is joined by Catholic artist Jordan Ring-Sabake for a fantastic interfaith discussion! Topics include:
- The experience of spiritual rebirth
- Teaching our children the gospel through our talents and gifts
- Living the Higher Law
- The importance of contrast and balance
- The value of sacrifice
Based in Saratoga Springs, Utah, Jordan is a Christian artist whose journey from atheism to faith is an amalgamation of heeding a call to both come to Christ and create works of sacred art.
Originally a realist painter of wildlife and portraiture, Jordan experienced a series of transformative events that reshaped his worldview and steered him towards the teachings of Christ.
This spiritual awakening profoundly influenced his artistic direction, leading him to imbue his works with a rich tapestry of personal faith in a biblical context.
Now, Jordan's mission is clear: to inspire faith through works of worshipful art that uphold the tradition of oil painting and resonate with contemporary audiences. His paintings, intricate in detail and steeped in tradition, are a testament to the enduring relevance of Christian themes and the timeless beauty of oil painting.
Jordan seeks to spark spiritual curiosity and connection in those who seek the truth and find Jesus Christ. In a post-modern world that embraces scandal, hedonism, and controversy in art, Jordan's work seeks to be a means whereby the holy spirit can heal the hearts of those lacking the spiritual nourishment that comes through the salvific grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
